i am about to start a build on a 1965 K20 4x4. when i swap the axles and replace the leaf springs i would like to add 2-3 inches of lift to the truck. it has a lot of clearance already but i dont think it will clear 33" tires correctly for steering. does anyone know of anywhere that makes 2-3" lift shackles for that year of truck?

Have your new springs made with the desired lift. I've used Earon Detroit Spring with great results and service, they made custom springs for my 52 1 ton.

Also consider the effect of swapping a 2wd front axle for a 4wd axle if that's what you're doing? That swap will gain you 4-6" with the original springs. Measure the spring pads up to wheel centerline on the old axle and add that to the radius of the new axle tube plus the thickness of the spring perch to calculate the lift of just an axle swap, assuming spring over axle.

If you use longer spring shackles you should definitely check and correct the pinion angles. You should check and correct if needed no matter what when swapping axles.

i am swapping the original 4x4 axles with a set from a 96 dodge 3500srw. they are 3.54 geared dana 60 front and dana 80 rear. i am doing the build at a shop with experienced rock crawler builders. so they will know all the little driveline tricks lol. i just wanted to know how to get a few more inches. but i might be able to run my 33's without it. thanks alot
