Im getting ready to put my 350 in and I need some advice on the throttle linkage. The truck was originally an inline 6, and when I go to install the V8 throttle linkage, the holes do not line up to the holes in the firewall. Is it mandatory to drill new holes or am I missing something? | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 149 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 149 | Oh, and its a 58 1/2 ton. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | If you have a kit for that model it should fit in the holes already there. I've done 2 of them & what I have run into is the linkage when you get it is not assembled like it goes on. You have to take it apart & figure how it goes. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. I'll reverse the mount and see if that works. I don't have the engine in so it makes it difficult to see where the linkage will end up.--- | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | picture for ya RR, might help Bill | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 149 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 149 | Thanks bill,
