I am new to this forum, and want to learn all about these awesome motors. I have a 1949 3100 Advance Design Deluxe Cab pick-up. I am putting in a new drivetrain consisting of a 1957 261ci stovebolt, a 1957 3spd/OD tranny, 1957 3100 rear end w/ 4.10 gears. I have the items mentioned, but I am still looking for a few small parts. Plus, I will be rebuilding the motor & trans, so I will have some questions. Please bear with me. And thanks in ADVANCE!

Oh, better go ahead and get you a hosting site for Pictures, like photobucket, so you can give us a link to you progress.
WE love pix around here in the garage. We look at them while drinking Pepsi and chewing on cigars smile

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
