My question is the latch mechanisim in the bottom corner of the drivers rear door them same as the mechanisim in the center passenger rear door.
I am having difficulty in finding a complete set of hardware for these doors. Any help would be appreciated. Forgot to mention I do have the outside door handle mechanisim.
Thanks, Brent

I have several pieces that I bought from another bolter, Spanky, some time back because I figured they would be hard to find. I think I have an extra middle "mechanism" along with the handle that goes with it. I "think" I may also have an extra top or bottom latch that goes inside the door. I will just have to look and see.
I do not have the two rods that go to the top and bottom BUT I have one that the threads twisted off of that you could use as a pattern. They are not hard to make as I had to have one made myself. I would have repaired the broken one but I kept it as a pattern....for future use. I can give you the exact length.
Are you in a hurry for these??
*** Do you have a parts panel around your area? I could use a better "catch" that attaches over the left door to the body. Its sort of triangular...... as well as a filler between the rear bumper and body.
EDIT:...for comments about the rods.

I will know more after I check to see what it does still have.
As to parts vehicles around here that would be a definate no. I have run so many wild goose chases that I have almost worn a daily driver out.
I did find one Friday that brought tears to my eyes. I suppose about twenty years ago a local guy that i had known since I was a kid was filling in a piece of property between the creek and highway. along the creek bank he lined it with old vehicles. You guessed it. One of them was a A D panel.
The back doors were against the bank and the cowl was pointed towards the water. The dog house was missing. The panel was angled with the back end being slightly covered with dirt about mid ways up to the rear fenders. Don't know why this vehicle was scrapped but it didn't seem to have any damage whatsoever.
And to make it worse the drainage lines from the property exited directly above the rears about ten feet. The back doors were basically gone and the wood in the floor was completly gone.
Could have knocked me down with a feather after seeing it.
Thanks again and I will get back with you soon. | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | ..... go down to the creek and see it the top catch over the left rear door is still attached to the body. It bolt/screws to the body right over the left door. The two screw holes are "offset not straight across. I have a pic somewhere of the one I need. Another bolter sent me one but it is not the right one. Don't go out of your way but if you have that piece I'd like to get it and throw my old beat up one away!
Brent may need some of the other stuff. | | | | Oldog in Md. Unregistered | Oldog in Md. Unregistered | Ach ,
I have a 49 panel that I will check next time I am down at my eastern shore shop
Let me be clear .... you want the piece that attaches to the BODY that the door latch hooks to ? Top right ?

Well, the piece I was "sure" I needed is not located up top.
Its the BOTTOM piece that bolts to the body under the drivers side rear door. I found out I have the correct one for the top... the one on the bottom is what I need and it is "sort of" a triangular piece that the latch in the bottom of the door catches on.
Oldog: I'll send you a picture to our email listed in your profile.
