I love the 60-66! I have a 61 and it's my favorite truck ever. Right now it's sleeping in the garage. I am currently hunting for a fun little small block to drop in and get her going!

These trucks were everywhere when I was growing up. I got hooked on the TF bug myself, and my oldest, 18 now, has no interest in cars, but my 10 year old will probably end up with a 60-66 truck. I've always liked them so he may get one. They drive way better than my old straight axle stuff. We'll see what I find for him on the cheap in about 4 years.

Glad to see iam not a lone. Most people in this area want the "old navy" 48 to 55 or the swinging 69 to 72 trucks. Me i like the 60s. Although i was not born till 78 hahaha.

Huge fan of the 60s trucks too. Although I do also like the late 50s ones and the late 60s. But I got my favorite, a 61. Ha ha, and the guy who was born in 78? I can relate with ya man, I was born in 80, ha ha

I have a 63, my favorite and I was born in WAY before that! But I am a child of the 60's. I love the wrap around windshields.I think that ended in 63. Supposedly the interior is similiar to the Vettes of that year. Nice article on the 64's in October Vintage Truck Magazine.

Art Deco, Task Force, Apache...

What are the 60-66 trucks? Besides the coolest.

The 60-66 has always been the best looking GM trucks to me, with the 64-66 GMCs being my favorites.

Hello all,
New to the board.A little introduction.
I live in East Texas right now.Have been here for almost ten years.I have had my 65 since I was 19 wouldn't mean much if I was 22 but I am 52.I have been in love for a long time.I talked this guy out of his truck then his daughter-Still got the truck.
I put a 76 4x4 running gear under it using the original frame about 1985.In 89 i put a 402 BB 350 hp and 400 turbo. It has a 4 inch lift and 33s.She is going through a meager face lift right now including 2004 leather interior.Glad I found you all.
Sorry:that's enough for now,
Thanks

Hey 65Bevo and welcome to the 'Bolt! Thanks for the intro -- we're glad to meet you.

We have a pretty active Texican Contingent -- if you ever get over to the DFW area, that's where they seem to congregate. Not a bad bunch, just don't tell 'em I said so.

Welcome,
John
