It was a new all steel model that year, assembled by an outside vendor and sold through GMC dealers. I have seen Chevy versions that had the GMC grille. They ran 15 inch tires that wore out quickly. It looked much like a modern small UPS truck. They recently published a few articles on delivery trucks such as you recollect.

A year later I was driving a 52 Chevy Panel truck. The only pictures I have are in my mind.
