The existing release bearing is a BCA 614018 and seems too short to allow for any adjustments. The connecting rod to the clutch pedal is all the way out and the fork just barely engages the borg/beck pressure plate tabs. Does anyone know of a "longer" release bearing to correct for this? The pressure plate is in good shape and I don't want to replace it if not necessary. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 | this release brg has been working in there for how long now; 100,000 mi.?.thinks do wear out. there is more than 1 place for wear in this setup and you can lose quite a bit in linkage wear. if trhe clutch disc is worn out , one should always replace th p/p at this time as it's surface also wears and it doesn't necissarily wear flat and springs can loose tension..the biggest PITA is replcing it after you find out that it isn't as good as youi thought it was.there are 2 different depths of t/o bearings depending on style of p/p. whether or not that it is a diaphram or 3 finger setup don't be cheap as it will more than likely cost you more in the end ron | | |
