I'm going to plumb a line from the intake manifold on my 235 to handle the 2-speed rear and the future power brake booster(hydrovac?) What size line do I need? The vacuum wipers will be handled by the fuel/vacuum pump. I will run a flexible line between the engine and the cab.

It's been a long time but it seems like they used 1/2 hose for that.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

I own a '54 4100 and I wanted to know where can you get that 1/2" steel vacuum line that goes from the intake manifold to the hydravac and 2-speed rear end. I can only find 3/8" or smaller line. Thanks in advance.

Plastic or "Synflex" air brake hose would probably work. I is available at any truck parts house that carries stuff for air brakes.

stoveboltkid,
i duno if this helps but i made my own. if you go to any parts store and find the right fittings to screw into the intake and hydravac you can simply slide 3/8 fuel line on it clamp it and off ya go

i also like this idea... with a heat gun you could "mold" the line to take any shape to contour and be out of the way for a custom look, im gonna have to experiment, thanks for the idea crenwelge!!!
