For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 438 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 438 | I purchased new door mechanisms for my 49 burb. I have (after great difficulty) removed all the necessary screws that hold it to the door. The manual says outside handle should be able to pull straight out of the latch assembly. I have it out 1/2 inch or so but wont budge from their. Looking at the inside of door with flashlight it looks like the shaft has a couple retainer clips holding it. Is this normal and how do you remove?
