| | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 47 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 47 | I was wondering if there is a gasket between the oil pump and the rear main cap? Also is there a gasket between the oil filter mount assembly and the block casting where it mounts?
There was gaskets between them during tear down but no one shows them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The block is about a 1980 according to casting numbers if it makes a difference.

I seem to remember a gasket under the filter adapter, but not all gasket kits have them. Shouldn't make a difference, as long as it's bolted on tight.
