Will a steering wheel from a
47 Chev fit a 41?

My 41 wheel is ragged and the
newer one is available.

I'm not sure the 47 wheel will fit on your column. The 47 wheel has a different shape than the 41 and I'm not sure it would fit on the steering shaft.

Is your original too far gone to repair? It isn't that hard to fix up your old steering wheel. I would try to salvage what you have.

It should be no problem. 1940-48 pass use the same steering box.

If it's a truck the splines will be the same. If you mean 1947 second design it had a larger column so the horn contacts will not line up.

i think in 48 they changed to the multiple splined shaft but prior to 48 was a keyway
good luck ... it can't be that difficult a job to try.

let us know the out come.
