Just wondering how the dome light in a 41 chevy truck turned on.
Was there a seperate switch or was it automatically when the door opened?

It goes from the light switch to a 2 post terminal block and than to the light.
Anyone have any ideas where this two post terminal is?

Look at page 7. I think one direction to the instrument panel the other way to the dome light. Middle position= off...I think.

Just check with NAPA for the right ones, drill and plug them in. I use grounded poppers and a $5.00 relay as the AD interior light is grounded and must receive a positive charge to light up.

That switch near the ashtray under the dash is a 3 position switch powered when the head lights are on. Left is the dash gauge lights, center is no lights, and right is a light behind those openings in the center of the dash to sorta illuminated the ignition, choke, and throttle plus enough to read a map | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | Your 41 might not have had a dome light but the AD trucks do. They are found directly above the rear window and are activated by the headlight switch. My point I'll repeat; if someone wanted spring loaded switches that activate this light when doors are opened it is easy to do.
