| | | | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 64 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 64 | Can someone give me some advice on an open drive line to replace my 1946 halfton torque tube?I am putting in a 261 and a t5 or saginaw 4 speed tranny (I have not made my mind up yet on the tranny ) ,and would like to keep the 6 bolt lugs on the rear as I am keeping the straight axel in the front along with shoe brakes.I have noticed in the gallery section on this site one guy put a 1966 rear end out of a chevy truck in his 46 but that to my knowledge is a wider rear end.
