It's O.K I speak your language! (Well...almost!)If ye ken whit ah mean!  What was the problem you encountered? As Bill said they can be tricky. The one piece glass is generally easier than the 2 piece(pre '54) More info,or even better... pictures will help in the diagnosis. Jock

Do you have the stainless steel trim that surrounds the 1954 windscreen glass and is inserted into the seal? I have found that installation to be tricky.
Nonetheless, the standard seal with no ss trim should not be too difficult.
From whom did you buy the seal?
From whom did you buy the glass?
What are the problems you are having?
