I just wondered if anybody could tell me what the significance of 12 bolts on the rear gear cover means...just noticed mine having that

does this denote a posi traction rear ?

no.most c10s from 1963-72 and maybe to 87 have twelve bole covers.jack up both rear wheels while in gear.if you turn one wheel and the other wheel turns the other way you don't have a posi.if you can't turn the wheel it could be a posi.or you could remove the cover and look.
