Bolters - As I finish my 52 1 ton (picture will be forth coming), my eyes turn towards my 68 CST. It has dealer installed saddle tanks. They are functional, but rather ugly. big_eek

I'd be interested in people's thoughts about keeping them.

Like my 52 I want to keep the spirit of the truck, but complete originality is not required by me wink (she is already well equipped 396/AC/TH400 etc..)

Thanks

i took them off my 62 2 ton i had. not because of the look but i didn't want to have to worry about running gas thru them when i really only used the tank behind the seat. i think some look better with them but if you don't use them???

my 62 had a 427. it would cruse at 35 mph in 5th gear high on rear end so it didn't get good milage. but i still didn't drive it far enough to warrent using them. the insides were cruddy anyway. oh well don't have the truck anymore anyway. good luck w/ yours.
