The connector on the brake line is bigger than the hole on the master cylinder. Does anyone know what I can do to correct this or how I can make it work?
Chris | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy dwntwnkokomojoe, if I'm reading correctly, your master cylinder is likely setup for 3/16" line, and you have 1/4" line on the truck, Weatherhead makes adapters for inverted flare, the one that goes from 3/16" male to 1/4" female is p/n 7828, hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 22 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 22 | My 57 has 2 brake lines off of the master cylinder, One is 3/16" going to the left front wheel, one is 1/4" that travels across the frame and then tee's. One line then goes to front right wheel and then the other line back to both brake cylinders on the differential. There is a banjo type fitting on the back end of the master cylinder that has the 2 connections. I beleive this is the original set up. I am in the process of repairing the brake system now and have elected to stay original.
