My 71 C10 has original full wheel covers that "creep" (rotate) and pinch the valve stem. I've tried bending (carefully) the tabs.
Welcome suggestions other than trading them for "mag" wheels or hub caps.

Try some minimum-strength LokTite on each tab. DON'T use Medium or Hi-strength, and be careful how much you use or it'll squish out and discolor the covers or rims.

I've used it on the fake plastic wheel nuts in the center of modern GM wheels, and it seems to hold them OK.

Get metal valve stems. They will contact them & stop.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Try to file the tabs sharp if it has the sharp tooth style or you could add some teeth to your existing tabs.
