Has anyone out there mounted a AM antenna some place else besides the original spot and had good reception. I have a 71 chev that i welded up the hole because i had a delete plate and now would like my stock radio back. I would like to keep it hidden any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about AM, but I found an antenna that works good with FM, and I just zip-tied it under the dash of my 69. It's a small box that's made to stick to the body. I can't remember where I bought it- maybe autozone, radio shack, hell I don't remember. I remember it was cheap, not a high dollar item from a catalog.
