The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay Power seat wiring

I was wondering if anyone out there might know how to wire later moder GM power seats. I was given a nice pair of 96 Yukon bucket seats for my 50 Chevy PU project. They both have lumbar and the drivers seat is power six way (I think, looks like 3 motors) but I have no idea how to wire it up. The passenger seat I don't think will be a problem but the drivers is what I need help with. Anyone know where to find a wiring diagram or know what color wires are what?

I hooked some up exactly like that. If I remember correctly (it's been 6 years at least), there is only a red and black wire with a plug, correct? I'll have to go look and get back with you... but trust me, it's easy to hook up.

I just checked out under the seat CayoRV. I have 4 wires leading into the factory seat harness- 1 black, 1 red, 2 orange. I'm 99% sure the black wire is the ground, ( I can't peel the carpet up to look) and just connect the rest to a fused 12v lead.
