Does anyone know what later model steering column would be a direct fit for a 65 Chevy. I would like a tilt column with or without an ignition switch. I have a floor shift automatic and a terrible after market turn signal switch that has to go. The existing column doesn't have any wiring in it and it looks to be to far gone to repair without knowing what it cane out of. I have power steering that was installed before I owned the truck.

I was told some van columns would be a direct replacement but nobody know's what year range. Some wiring tips would also be helpful for the replacement column.

Any and all advice welcome.

Thanks,

maybe just get a column fron another early 60's chevy. you can take it apart to change the wiring, it's not too hard. my 63 had the same thing i changed it back to a original type. i've always had the best luck with doing that. does it have to tilt?
