I'm considering changing the rear of my '39 to a 1993 chevy blazer 4 x 4 3.42 behind a 4 speed Saginaw which will be behind a rebuilt 235. Would I get a better end result if I also used the blazer leaf springs? They are 2 1/2"
wide vs. the stock springs @ 1 3/4" but the length is almost identical. Would I need the hangers off the blazer? Just thought they might be a little softer ride especially since the truck will never carry any weight again. I'm also going to tube shocks. Is there a better way to do this? The stock springs don't look bad but are stiff as a buckboard. Just looking for the ideal running gear in this truck. Any imput would be appreciated.
