It seems to me that you could take the plug out and put the oil pressure guage line there instead of having a tee down on the side of the motor. Any advice on this issue? Thanks Kevin

It may be different on the 235 but my 216 feeds the filter from the "high" pressure side rather than the low pressure side that feeds the rockers. I wouldn't want to steal any more pressure. Also if your feed and return lines both have the same pressure you wouldn't move any oil. Just speculating because I don't have a 235. If I'm full of beans someone will point it out.

The oil lines for the auxillary oil filter, would stay on the drivers side of the block. Sorry if I am not explaining myself very good.
