i have a 52 with a 55/57 engine. The truck came without a drive shaft, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of drive shaft would work on this setup? Thanks!

I guess your engine is a six probably a 235. I believe you can get all the help you need here but you need to cough up some more details.

Cheapest would be pull on from a junk yard from the same length and approx year truck with the same transmission.

Better quality would be from your local driveshaft shop, but only if they will dynamically balance it. This is still relatively cheap, and new with no flaws.

I paid a little over 100.00 to have mine built. I wasted a lot of time searching the junk yards with no success. The problem with junk yards is, they use fork lifts to move the vehicles around and that usually bends the drive shaft.

Assume, the torque tube rearend has been changed out? Is the rear axle centered in the wheel well? Take some measurements and you might get lucky and find the right length at the "wrecking" yard. In the old days they used to pull them and stack them up by manufacture. Now days with front wheel drive some drive shafts are getting rare and hard to find. The last one I had built with new joints cost about $135.00

I have a wobble vibration at about 45 mph and think its either the trunion or worse, should I repair or replace with one piece drive shaft? I have the original closed front, open rear two piece shaft
