How much would you sell it for? I know of few that would recoup all we have put into our trucks. That's not why we did it. | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | Question, how much would you pay for it? And of course the usual response here is, where are the pictures. If we are needed to suggest a price we need to see the product.

First, how high will an insurance company go for full replacement value? The only way you can find this out, is to try a new insurance company and put in a value that you think is appropriate. Then, let them reply. You may, or may not, be happy. You will probably not get anywhere near what you put into it, but, in time, that may change. Collector value increases with age of the vehicle, and you can only gauge that by sales at auctions, e-bay, and other outlets. But know that e-bay sales HAVE to be restricted to a reserve price that the seller has set up; otherwise, it is a crap shoot gamble and somebody could steal a really good truck for nowhere near its value. But, if somebody really needs bucks, then that is one way to get some (sad situation). You have to be careful that you do not let your baby go too soon for too few dollars. So, in short, valuing your vehicle is a game. When you go to insure it, aim high. When you sell it, aim high as well! But, if at all possible, settle for a value that you can think was fair for you given your circumstances at the time. If you cannot do that, don't sell it. | | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 196 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 196 | the collector car insurance is realy a good deal unlimited milage full cash out replacement glass and towing all for 100 a year then in our state you can get a lifetime tabs on the licence so you can keep these older rigs on the road for a resonable price you do have to have one newer car insured | | |
