On the 60's Suburbans, they seem to be notorious for rusting the Roof along the Drip Rails on the back half of the vehicle. Does this come from the outside, or is there a moisture issue along this ridge that comes from the inside out? Thank you for your help.

Seems a double edge sword on mone-the roof caulk dries out & cracks allowing water in, also it sweats on the inside & runs to the same area-toss in bare metal & spot welds & it is guranteed to rust. Mine is just surface rusty, some pits. I have treated inside with a rust converter paint(POR-15) & have thought about filling it with something.

Not just the 60's, the 40's and 50's have the same problem.

on my 63 panel i wire wheeled the entire drip rail, then used actual auto seem sealer which is better than original, you might also want to drill out your drainage holes a little larger, i had also done this on my 64 and never had any issues.
