I have read some old posts applicable to this subject, but I am still confused. All advice will be appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 506 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 506 | Denny, Short answer is no. I have a Saginaw 4 in a 52 and its fine. If it were an aluminum 4 speed I would put one in but not a cast iron transmission. The 4 speed has a rear pad to bolt up but the crossmember would have to be moved or a short plate made.
