I've never used the stuff but I figure it's worth a shot since it's about the price of a quart of oil. The engine was a nearly new Ford 300 cubic inch I-6, HP tested every 500 RPM from 1,500 to 4,500 RPM.
The next time I was involved with a slick 50 engine was a 3-liter Buick V-6 with 33,000 miles on it and a broken crankshaft. When the owner insisted on putting the stuff into the reman engine I installed, ("Ive run it since the car was new!") I voided his warranty!

Got hit by a truck and car was a complete loss. Have tried it in several vehicles since then and no difference in mileage observed. Figured what could it hurt. Poor old tierd motor it was.
Well some how or other it hardend the rod bearings and it went to rod knocking.
Took a little while a couple of oil changes and i think some STP to get it to come ot of it.

Teflon (the ingredient that makes Slick50 "work") is NOT designed or approved for use as a liquid lubricant additive. DuPont (who makes Teflon) does not approve it's use and even started refusing to sell Teflon to the makers of Slick50. Slick50 took them to court and sued them and the judge ruled that since DuPont was selling the Teflon as a bulk ingredient they had no say over what it could or could not be used for.
So, like it or not, DuPont says it's bad.... And they ought to know.
