The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop 235 Block

Hello,
I know this isn't the forum for this, but the swap meet forum would let me post this so here goes. I have 6 cylinder block with, bell housing,flywheel,clutch,cam,pistons,crank and oil pump. The casting numbers are con 3 e 128 GM 11. I was told it was a 57 or 58 "Blue Flame" type motor. The block is in nice shape. Does anyone need this. It's free, it's in SO NH. You have to come get it. I hate to turn it in to the scrap yard.

I don't know about the numbers, but if you send a good 235 block to the scrapper, I will send Mongo to get you. And he will have nothing but beans to eat for the week before he comes.

clem, the Swap Meet has its own registration routine. You can't use your Stovebolt Forum and password there, you have to create new ones by registering there just as you have here.

That's probably why you weren't able to post there, but if you have problems, email me (see my sig.)

howdy back k10. i'll let you know how this goes if you don't find out beforehand. there is another mechanic in in candia with my name. we've often been confused. i know it's off the subject, but i'll be at the amherst swap meet on the 28th, space no. L20 with the red silverado. stop by.[i'll have to leave by 9:45].i hope clem doesn't trash these motor parts.

Well I'm glad to see that it might have a good home. Now the only thing I ask is that you don't take advantage of a good thing. I mean by turning around and selling it. I can do that. I'm offering it to any one who needs it for a project. I should have made that clear from the beginning. Now I can't check up on where it goes or why or how much. I'll be the "do-gooder" and trust you guys. I do know that this old iron is hard to come by in good shape. I'm now off my soap box. I'll be at the show in Amherst, since I only live a few miles from it. Garyg called it first. I'll try to meet up with hom at the show. I'll be there early. Perhaps we can swap a few parts then I can't complain if it gets sold.
