Just wondering.. what the 930 badge on my one ton GMC is about.

I know 30= 1ton but what was the 9 designation for.

Hy PUSHNTIN, the "9" is the G.M. of Canada designation for a GMC, in the parts book, and on the older serial numbers the "9" designated GMC. for example 71314 would be a designation for a 47 Chevrolet p.u., 79314 would be for a GMC p.u., hope that helps
