my friend has a 72 c-60 with a 24ft box with a canvas top the cab is in extremely nice shape it stil runs and drives it has a 427 in it but ijust heard today that he loaded five other cars in the back of it and is planing on driving it down to the local scrap yard to scrap the the whole lot this truck and all

so what i am get to is if anyone needs anything be quick and let me know it will be gone by 1:00 tomorrow 7/30/08

would he sell the whole truck?also where it it?

maybe his getting around 1100.oo (for just the truck) as scrap but the whole back of it is full of cars now so at least the bed and all the cars will go

Hope someone can save it. Sounds like it will be a big waste if not.

Just in case someone out there may say "it's easy for him to say", I hit the calculator the other day and I have approx $25,000 worth of "scrap" metal down back, and none of it is going anywhere.

Wow. I hate to see the 427 go as scrap, and my trailer is only 30 miles from Port Orchard... Unfortunately if he kept his schedule I missed it before I knew about it.

yes its gone and yes it went to navy city metals i cant beleive he got 2400.00 dollars for all of it. call and talk to jim at anvy city you might be able to buy the motor for a little more than scrap price
i have bought parts before down there
also the car that went was a 76 ltd with 80,000 miles it had a good running 460 and a 85 chev 4X4 with dana 60s front and rear a good turbo 400 and 208 transfer case

this was a spur of the moment deal he had a large exavator at his house doning work just started loading cars into the back of the truck

Hey Pat you should check the post in the Events/Gabfests forum and consider joining some of the rest of us on our trip to Shelton for the ATHS show on the 9th. We're meeting in Poulsbo and will drive right past Navy City to head south through Belfair to Shelton.
