I finished putting a Mercruiser 165hp inboard motor in Ol Green, my 66 C20! It all came out surprising well. It did not have many hours on it. I put a new head gasket on it leaving the rest of the long block as-is and then I put all the components off my old 250 on it. The old motor had a bent snout on the front of the crank creating an annoying vibration.
The boat motor runs very smooth and revs nicely! Has anyone else out there done this swap?

On the casting of the block, I am not noticing anything obviously different.
