Adjusted the rear brakes so that I had enough parking brake to keep her still on a 35% indcline. Was all set for a Father's Day drive. Fired her up and the brake pedal went clear to the floor - no resistance. The brake/master cylinder assembly is original 54 chevy 3100 stuff. I cannot see any fluid under the truck and the brakes worked great before my parking brake cable job. I didn't touch the front by the way. I plan on pulling the rear drums this week to re-check. Any suggestions what I should look at/for?? I didn't look at the front since I was planning on having a local brake shop rebuild everything (I know my limits and I think I've proven that brakes may be in my outer limits). The rear brake cylinders and shoes looked fairly new so I suspect that the front might be new also.
Any suggestions where to start looking would be helpful.

It's possible a little air got into the system while you were tinkering with the parking brake.

If they look dry, try pulling the rubber caps back and check for fluid. If there are any leaks, it's time to replace or rebuild the wheel cylinders.

Does it have fluid? If not, you've obviously got a leak somewhere. If it does, then I'd start with the suggestions above.
