got it bled this morning and no leaks. got my e-brake fixed, at least better than it was, and also rigged my drivers exhaust to clear the booster, and will get new exhaust wsystem within the next 2 weeks. it stops fine and is a real difference from the old manual drum / drum brakes, thats for sure.
i cruised it 3 different times today and put about 10 miles on it. and will do a little cruise tonight.
i want to persoanlly thanks each and everyone who chimed in and gave me the help that i was in need of. especailly my friend dave, FLA54CHEVY3100. he always helps me behind the scene, always. good old dave is a wealth of knowledge.
thanks so much guys, and if any of you are wanting to do this install on your trucks, please feel free to contact me and i will help any way i can. i just got me a whole lot of experience the past few weeks, thats for sure.
thanks again guys...

in hind sight i should have listened to my budy dave, and got just the caliper brackets, that bolt to the spindle and steering arm, and the wheel bearing spacers that fit on the spindle,a nd the booster and mounting bracket.
everything else, the rotors, calipers, master cylinder, i should have jsut gotten them from the local suto supply house. i would have save a ton on shipping, and if there is a problem with the master, calipers, or rotors, you can take them back with no problem. and not possibly have to wait for a couple weeks turn around time, like i thought i was going to have to do.
that would be my suggestion on how to do it.
any questions, feel free to ask..
thanks again guys..

Doug | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,082 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,082 | yea, 3B and desertdog, it sure feel great. i am now back in love with my truck. LOL.
and thanks desertdog for the tip on taking the light socket out of the prop valve and using something to hold it in place while bleeding. i used a 1/8 weld rod, took the flux off, bent it at a distance where i could stick it in the hole, and clamped it to the lines soming out of my master. it worked great. i will never forget that tip.
i cruised it again tonight for about 12 miles. and it is still braking great.
gonna cruise it this weekend, if not raining, and get some miles on it, since it has been about a month sicne i ahve driven it.
then check everything out and make sure everything is tight and all.
wonder what my next project will be ? LOL. nothing this hard anytime soon. LOL.
thanbks again all you guys..
