My 54 with a 235-6 has some noisy valve lifters. When I go out and start it up in the mornings the valve lifters rattle for some time. The engine's oil pressure is around 30 to 35 pounds within just a few seconds of starting it. Is this something I need to worry about? Do I need to think about going to a different type or grade of oil? Right now I have Havoline 30 weight for summer.

Have you adjusted the valves?
