Hi guys,
A few weeks back I picked up a '63 lwb fleetside Chevy truck with the 230 inline 6 backed by a sm420 trans with posi rearend.
I want to let the engine breath easier by installing the cast iron headers(split) not the full length header.

I've heard there is issuses wit the ""Z" bar which is the pivot point for the clutch linkage. I got to looking, and I think there is some fabrication in my future to make room for the split headers.

I plan on running the exhaust into a set of smitty mufflers before running them straight out the back stopping unieth the new rear chrom bumper.

Also wht's the best place for dress up goodies for the 230,250, 292 engines? Like finned aluminum valve covers, side covers, coil cover, etc.
Many thanks,
David

My truck don't leak oil, it just marks its teritory.
