Finally thought better of trying to make 6 lug axle shaft fit my GM 10-bolt rear axle. What's the difference I thought? I'll put the original hubcaps over the five lugs and no one will be the wiser.
AU CONTRAIRE MON FRERE
Went to my favorite junkyard last week (Thanks DAD!) and my original hubcaps wouldn't fit any of the 5-lug GM wheels in his inventory.
Now, it could have been because all the wheels I tried to test fit my hubcaps on were 14" wheels. I never measured them and for some reason it never ocurred to me to check blush
Must have been out in the sun too long.
I'm going back tomorrow to try again. Just wondering though, any of you 'bolters got this setup? (Original hubcaps on a modern 5-lug wheel)

As far as I know you are not going to find any. The later wheels have the "bumps" that the cap mounts over, the early ones mount inside with clips. I purchased aftermarket wheels from Wheelsmith. There are also a number of suppliers that carry the same wheels. He also modified the caps by cutting off the inner mounting ring and welding in a smaller ring. They look great and hold tight.
