We've tracked down universals and u-bolts for our '48 gmc fc303. It's a 2-speed axle and a 1 1/2 ton.

Next, Carrier bearing. Anybody know where we can find one for the big trucks? I've seen rubber seals, and whole bearings for smaller trucks.

Will those work? or does somebody know a part number for the larger trucks?
thanks!

If you have the old one you could match it up, otherwise you'll have to measure the drive line where it goes and head for a parts house that carries the bigger stuff..If you're missing the carrier, then toy'll have to get complete unit, also measure center to center on the mount holes on crossmember..

Try chevyb
He had a NOS rebuild kit with bearing, rubber, and dust seals for my 1 ton, which I think is the same as yours, he will know for sure.

Hy turpentyne, there is a kit listed in the parts book, but it doesn't cross into Napa numbers, however the bearing alone does. GMC 954257 = Napa part number BR88107 $36.99. It appears to fit FC 280 thru 370, hope that helps.
