I have a 1961 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 2wd fleetside that I want to put the correct bumper on. It has a step bumper thats straight from the farm I got it at. Anyways, what would be a good source for an origional bumper in good enough condition to reuse? I don't want a new chrome one, or an old chrome one, but a used paintable bumper would be great. I have been lookin at the junk yards with not a lot of luck.

The bumper I want is the one that looks similar to the front bumper, anyways, thanks.

Kyle,

Well you sorta eliminated all poss. solutions with the question. Whats wrong with a new rear bumper? rough up the chrome finish, prime it and paint it. Under $200 and you won't need worry about dents/dings/rust.

I just got around to getting the frame tips welded up and putting on the front bumper this past week end.

True, are the new repro pieces as good as an old one...thickness and quality wise? I just want to get something of origional quality is why I was thinking about an origional bumper. Thanks for the tip.
