My side windows on my 41 GMC have a metal frame around them with a locking frame and channel at the bottom. This bottom channel is removable. Mine has some nasty cancer. I have searched the internet for a replacable piece to no avail. Are these pieces avaiable through someone or should I just have new ones made?

Ya ........ My 1946 fire truck also has the metal frame around the entire glass window ( driver & passenger side ). I have not been able to locate this metal part in any catlog. I'am not this far along yet with the project, however I also interested in information.
