At one time Jeff at Bowtie Bits here in Wichita had some short blocks, but I would think you could find some closer and save some shipping. One thing about Jeff, he'll shoot straight with you.

Change the rear end out too while you are at it - fourdnineinch shoud do it. Just set it in there and start cutting and welding and slap an ignition wire onto the coil, drill a hole in the dash for a toggle switch and you will have it made. :p | | |

Are there any kits for installing a Pontiac V8/TH400 tranny in a '54 Bel-Air? I'm thinking about parting out the rest of my 235/3 speed setup and going V8. As my punk-rawk friend JJ says: F@#K the dumb s$%t. Lets drink.  Anybody want some 235 hop-up parts? Barely used. Make offer. Not kidding.
