When I rebuilt the motor, I changed the oil pump. Back in the day I remember oil pressures being in the range of 15 or 20 pounds. After I finished the rebuild and put it on my neihgbor's dyno, the pressure in now like 45. Will this ruin or max out my stock gauge? I have the small copper line running from the back of the engine to the dash gauge. Just wondering befor I start it. Thanks to those who know the answer. sovagary

I might be missing the point on this, but any gauge can safely handle pressure up to max value of that gauge. I thought a pretty standard dash gauge would be 0-60 lbs, so this typical gauge would be fine up to sixty pounds of pressure.
