I've got gas at the carb connection, but only what is poured down the throat will briefly run the motor. I did put fuel conditioner with the fresh gas, but should I look for something stronger, or fire the cooker up again? What product would work the best to clear out stale gas?  | | |

Nothing you add to it will make it clean. You can get rid of it by straining it and adding a gallon to a fresh tank to keep it diluted.
If the carb is plugged up then you are in for another teardown.

There is a bad kink in the hose that looks like it could choke off the fuel. When the rain lets up, will drag out the seat and tackle this. My hose job sure does not look as good as the tubing. :mad: | | |

Man, that stuff smelled awful too. Good to have some fresh gas.

After all this time it forgot to be round, especially when the fuel pump sucked on the gas. Another trip to the edelmann bins should net the parts to finish this mistake.  | | |

I put a can of Sea-Foam conditioner in the tank after re-configuring the gas line and flex hose under the tank. Also about six gallons of fresh gas was there. It took repeated attempts by priming the carb with a little gas starting then repeat the same after it would stumble. Each attempt it would run just a little longer, then finally got it to stay running so I could tweak the needle valve and idle adjustment. I ran it about half an hour got it good and hot. Another variable was the new pcv installation. Not sure if this was having an impact but don't think so. Any way thought I should report success if it will help anyone with a similar situation. My trucks have missed me! Only two barking good now, but more to come! | | |
