Last spring I started a project to design and build a cast Aluminum rear sump oil pan for the Vortec 4200, and got as far as getting a mockup cut from MDF to do a fit check. The idea was to pick the project up around Xmas. To make it worth while I'd need say 10 people interested in the pan. To speed up my own project I ended up modifing a stock 4200 pan which took 6 hours of machine shop time and $200 to get it welded up.
