No knobs on it but it looks like it could have been remotely controlled with a set of cables. the insides are perfect and the tubes all look good. Its comlete with a scematic inside and a 6 volt hook-up. Should I just go ahead and energize it or do you have some suggestions before I damage it. I cannot find a company or logo on it yet....Thanks.

In a radio that is that old it is almost guaranteed that the capacitors are going to be bad and you take a pretty good chance that you are going to damage components that are irreplaceable. If you burn up the power transformer you might as well junk the radios because you will never find another one and it would cost over $100 to have it rewound even if you could find someone to do it.
If you have no experience with working on old radios I would suggest contacting your local radio club and asking for advise.
Radios of the type you have described are rather rare an could be quite valuable if complete. If your intention is not period restoration for your truck then I would just conceder selling it and purchasing one of the newer radios.

I have no intention of installing it in my '36 so I'd like to see it go to a good home. Thanks again, Rick
