Just an fyi, if you want better breathing for the dry based element air cleaner on the '47 to '55 3100's (perhaps more models), there is a K&N air filter that does fit the circumference of the base. It is approx 1 to 1 1/2 inches higher but all you need to do is to add an extender nut onto the exsisting stem and find a screw that is the same thread, cut the head off so it's above the top of the canister and your ready to go. The beauty of this is that it would take 3 minutes to put it back to original condition for show!

That I don't have, I looked at the inherited K&N filter last night to try to idendify, but it had no numbers on it. I took pictures but the memory card failed. I will try to post pictures with another camera tonight. Will that help?

Post the filter dimensions. My K&N book will cross reference by those.

I’m pretty sure that is K & N part number E-3330. Dimensions are (6.125” x 5.125” x 2.062”) There are no vehicles listed for that size but stock is available.

Here are 2 other potential possibilities:

E-2370 (6.125” x 4.25” x 2.187”) Fits 1979-1987 Corolla’s with a 1.3 litre
E-2470 (6.062” x 4.687” x 1.875”) Fits 1949-1955 Harley Davidson 750 and 1200’s

E-2370 is the same size as a Fram CA4296 but the others have no cross reference.

Hope this info helps somebody.

Curt B.
