The 350 is the same dimensionally as the V-8's available in 65, so there should be factory-original mounts, and frame brackets available. Are you using the original transmission, or upgrading to a later model? Sometimes it's necessary to install a different rear crossmember/mount assembly if you're going to use a later model transmission, but the front mounts should work OK with original-equipment items. I believe by 65, the front motor mounts were on the sides of the engine, unlike the former horseshoe-shaped front mount which required side mounts on the bellhousing. Jerry

There will be holes in the frame that will line that mount with the one on the other side. As mentioned you may have to add in a rear crossmember if you are going to add a t350 auto or other later model auto. Not a big deal as it's an easy add on.

The 230, 250, and all the V-8's that year had mount brackets on the frame directly across from each other. If your brackets aren't straight across,(292) move the passenger side mount into the same position as the driver's side, and purchase a set of V-8 motor mounts for a 65 truck. They should bolt right up to the frame brackets. If you're installing a TH 350, or some other late-model transmission, several aftermarket crossmember and rear mount systems are available. I use a bare block and an empty trans case to check motor mount position when I'm fabricating mounts. It's simpler than fighting with a complete engine/trans assembly. Once the dummy unit fits correctly, the complete assembly will be a drop-in fit. Be sure to check for oil pan and steering linkage clearance while you're fabricating mounts. One installation I did on a race car ended up with the harmonic balancer dragging on the tie rods! We had to build up the front mounts 1/2" for clearance on that one! Jerry
