I saw on Alan's great site http://alanhorvath.com/54chevy/ezwire_checklist.php that he only uses vinyl loom. I've searched and haven't been able to find any vinyl loom. Who is a good supplier and are there other alternatives?

I've used them several times for loom, cross-link auto wire, relays, etc. Prices and shipping times are o.k.

I saw lots of NYLON loom and cable ties on that site but no vinyl. Are you sure they sell vinyl?

Sorry, I didn't see that you wanted vinyl loom. I found them after my looms kept melting from engine heat and I needed a hi-temp loom which they do sell. Pray tell, what advanage does vinyl give one?

If you go to Alan's website, he advises against nylon because it doesn't stand up. Vinyl does. Maybe the hi-temp loom these guys sell will work. Thanks for the link.

In the group of guys I ride around and share the great fun of making old cars/trucks new again, I am tasked with a lot of electrical things as they do the other stuff better than I. After using the cheesy loom purchased at car shows I started purchasing the High Temp. Heat Stablized Nylon (up to 300 deg. F) in 100 foot lengths. I also purchased from the same vendor "SXL" type wire in multiple colors and gauges. "SXL" wire is a thick wall, special purpose, hi-temp, automotive, chemically cross-linked polyethlene type. I DO NOT want to watch my/my friends ride burn to the ground because I used less than the best products. Re-wiring these old rides is a pain you know where and I only want to do it once.
