installing a new crate motor in my 66 c-10 as planned
going with long water pump, however my old bracket for the alternator doesnt seem to fit. same 350 engine, has anyone
come across this problem, any help, different bracket????

You also need a crankshaft pulley for a long water pump. As for as the alternator bracket, you need one for a long water pump. Get on e-bay, or visit the local auto parts store, or the nearest junk yard. FWIW: if the truck was originally designed for a short pump, and it's got a fan shroud, going with a long pump will give you problems.

THANKS TIM, GOT IT RECTIFIED, TRUCK HAD LONG PUMP TO BEGIN
WITH, WHEN I BOUGHT CRATE MOTOR IT CAME WITH A SHORT PUMP
HAD TO DO WITH NEWER INTAKE MANIFOLD, GOT A NEW BRACKET
TO FIT, THANKS
