The ones I took out were cloth and the replacements are rubber. when I took the old ones out they had to be driven and chiped out, thus damaged th connecting method thanks ron | | | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 275 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2007 Posts: 275 | Are you talking about the rubber strips that are connected to the window seal inside the door outter panel? The ones that wipe the window when your roll it up or down?
If so, the door skin, that's rolled over and forms the window seal, pinches the rubber seal. You may need to spread the slot with a screw driver to open it enough to slide the rubber seal into it. Then with vise grips or larger pliers squeeze the slot closed on the rubber seal.
It's the same for the inner door panel.
